The Rib Rooms

Something a little different today as I very fortunately won the opportunity to go along to The Rib Rooms in Knightsbridge, London for a 3 course dinner and cocktails a few months back.

The Rib Rooms is a restaurant situated underneath the Jumeriah Carlton Tower Hotel and is part of a chain of hotels. I entered the competition on Instagram as they were celebrating the launch of their new page and luckily I was chosen as the winner!

Before booking I obsessively stalked the menu – who doesn't, as it looked amazing! I couldn’t decide whether to play it safe or go for things I wouldn’t usually try. They’d also just launched a new cocktail menu based on the 5 taste sensations which sounded interesting, so was looking forward to giving that a go.

When we arrived we were greeted and shown to the bar area where we were served our first drinks. The restaurant itself looked amazing, lots or mirrors and ornate furniture with pretty lighting, making it really cosy and inviting.

Once we sat down I decided to go for scallops to start and lobster thermadore main with a dessert platter to share.

The scallops were out of this world amazing – some of the freshest and well cooked scallops I’d ever tasted,  the lobster was incredible too. Beautifully cooked and served in it’s shell with a rich sauce and side salad. I’m probably doing it no justice trying to describe it but it really was amazing.

My favourite dish of the night was the dessert platter, I have a huge sweet tooth so was looking forward to sampling the delights on offer and it didn't disappoint. I’ve inserted a picture below which you can see there was a good mix of fruity and chocolate desserts to sample and left us feeling very full!

Following that they gave us some chocolate truffles to finish!

Throughout the whole evening the staff were brilliant, really polite and attentive, they offered us wine throughout and recommended ones to compliment the food we were eating.


As I imagined the food was amazing and I’d definitely go back for a special occasion.

I’d thoroughly recommend the Rib Rooms and want to thank the staff for all their hospitality and making us feel so welcome and special on the night.

All in all a brilliant experience.

Oh and not forgetting the cocktails.....
