Bondi Sands vs St. Tropez

Tanning Mousses are my favourite way of imparting summer glow onto my skin.  I find them quick, easy to use and fairly fuss free.  Lotions are too sticky and sprays get everywhere (never good with a beige carpet!) So mousses have always been my tan of choice.

Enter in the two contenders – Bondi Sands Tanning Mousse and St.Tropez Custom Tan.

St.Tropez has been my favourite since last summer, I love the colour and how easy it is to apply.  This one is the newer tan from the range that claims to be customisable, meaning depending how long you leave it on will depend how dark you go and apparently it keeps working after you’ve washed it off!
Bondi Sands is an Australian brand and fairly new to hit the UK (very hyped about on the net) and is currently only available online and in Superdrug.  It comes in light / medium or dark and they have mousses / lotions / sprays to choose from, I chose the tanning mousse in dark.

Pros & Cons of Each

St.Tropez – Pros are easy to apply, coloured so you can see where you are applying it, dries quickly, nice light / medium tan colour and quick development time.

Bondi Sands- Easy to apply, coloured so you can see where you are applying it (slightly darker than St.Tropez when applied), longevity (3-4 days, price (£10 for the mousse,) realistic tan colour and it smells nice!

St.Tropez – Cons are the smell (typical fake tan / St.Tropezbiscuit smell,) transferrable (will get everywhere basically,)price (£33 for the mousse) and longevity (2-3 days)

Bondi Sands – Slightly stickier than St.Tropez so requires fast application and quick blending, scent is quite strong – ok if you like coconut, not so much if you don’t.

Summary

I like both of them, however if I had to choose I think I’d go for Bondi Sands, purely because it’s more cost effective,  darker than St.Tropez and lasts longer.
St.Tropez is nice if you want a customisable tan that you don’t have to leave on too long to get a decent colour, good for nights out or last minute tanning emergencies, but If you like your tan dark and long lasting go for Bondi Sands, just beware of the coconut scent if you’re not a fan!

Which is your favourite?
