Autumn Skin Care Update

Now that the Autumn is setting in, which by the way is my favourite time of year. I wanted to switch up my skin care routine as I tend to get drier in the colder months. I've made a few new discoveries lately which have been working wonders.

My MAC Cleansing Oil recently ran out so I'm currently using The Body Shop Silky Camomile Cleansing Oil, which I have to say is so good, if not better than MAC for gently removing makeup and cleansing the skin, plus it's half the price.

I don't really use toner, but I have been enjoying the Clarins Exfoliating Toner, a gentle hydrating toner that contains low levels of glycolic acid to brighten and exfoliate the face. I think this would be similar to the Pixi Glow Tonic which is definitely on my list to try.

I've been a bit obsessed with masks lately, especially ones that hydrate the skin. My top two of the moment are The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink in  Moisture Mask and Origins GinZing Refreshing Face Mask, which the lady at the counter described as 'like a shot of coffee for your skin' which it a
absolutely is.

Facial oils are something I've used for a while now and recently I've discovered Jojoba Oil which I picked up in Home Sense the other day, which by the way is a treasure trove for beauty lovers, I'd highly recommend having a little dig through their stuff if you're into high end beauty.

Jojoba oil is notoriously good at moisturising the skin and I can already feel this has made a massive difference to the tone and texture of my face so am happy with this discovery!

Lastly and one of my favourite new additions is another bargain from Home Sense, The Glam Glow Brightmud Eye Treatment. These are treatment masks for your eyes, which you pop on for 3 minutes and wipe off to reveal brighter, more hydrated eyes.

I can totally vouch for these, I tried them a year or so ago in a tester pack I got from Glam Glow and they really make a difference to the under eye area, especially if like me you get a lot of puffiness in the morning.
