Its been a while since I did a favourites post, recently after having a clear out, I've managed to whittle down my foundations to only a few favourites - after all nobody needs sixteen foundations - do they?!
YSL Touche Éclat in B20, I've just started using this again which has only confirmed how much I like it. I have the old version,
as I know YSL have just come out with a reformulated version of this which offers more coverage but I'm happy with what 've got. This is a super glowy semi matte foundation, probably not great for oily skin as it does tend to shine half way through the day - nothing a bit of powder can't fix. I like that it's so moisturising on the skin and makes you look like you've had 8 hours sleep and drank a ton of water - even when you haven't!
Nars Sheer Glow in Gobi, this one has been a revelation for me. I'd been using Deauville for about a year and hated it, that was because it was a fraction too dark and used to oxidize on me throughout the day, so when I went to a Nars counter recently just out of interest tried Gobi found this is near enough perfect match. Ideally Nars would come out with a mix of the both, but that ain't going to happen so I'm happy with Gobi. This offers a much more matte finish than the YSL despite the name and can be built up to quite a full coverage, better for oilier skins as it's not so glowy but still makes your skin look amazing.
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder in No.2, literally healthy skin in bottle. Light Wonder offers a sheer to medium coverage and makes the skin glow. I have combination skin so like the YSL it does tend to shine half way through the day which I don't mind at all. I got this in the Autumn last year but can imagine this is going to be great as a lightweight summer foundation. It's packed full of skin care goodies and feels amazing on the skin.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk in No.5, I haven't pictured this one as the bottle is a mess, I dropped it and now it is having to survive with sellotape holding it together! That aside this is a fantastic foundation. It offers medium coverage and perfects skin instantly, like the Nars Sheer Glow it doesn't contain SPF so is a firm favourite with brides as it looks great in photos and makes you look airbrushed. I save this for special occasions as it's too darn good to use everyday.

All four of the above are constantly in rotation in my makeup bag. I'm pretty happy I've managed to streamline my collection however foundation has always been my thing so no doubt I'll be adding more at some point!
