I thought I’d share with you a little haul of the products I purchased recently from the high street. I often pick up things on a whim (hello boredom inducing Sunday afternoons) or because I’ve heard good reviews about them. The beauty of the high street is most items are fairly inexpensive and often places like Boots have 3for2’s meaning we can and we should buy more – right?!
The first item i picked up was the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I’ve been pretty loyal to Too Faced Better Than Sex since February this year so thought it was time for a change. As far as mascaras go Maybelline’s are pretty good considering the price and I have to say this ones my favourite so far. It has a curved brush that hugs and coats the lashes all, providing volume and length with a nice jet black formula.
I already know The Maxfactor Creme Puff Blush’s are beautiful so I picked up the shade Nude Mauve when I was last in Boots. I already own Gorgeous Berries and Lovely Pink which I reviewed HERE so I knew Nude Mauve would be a worthwhile addition to my stash.
The Maybelline BB Bronzing Cream, another Amelia Liana inspired product as it featured in her monthly favourites video HERE. This can be used on it’s own or as I like to use it under my foundation to add a hint of colour and glow to the skin. So far I’m loving it combined with the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation as it helps to moisturise and prep the skin before application.
I picked up another one of my trusty Eylure Eyebrow Pencils in Blonde. This is the most perfect pencil I’ve found for my skin tone / hair colour. It’s really ashy and doesn’t fade to that weird orangey colour throughout the day. Could I love it more? Nuff said.
Last but not least I picked up another one of the Nip+FabGlycolic Face Scrubs. Its super scrubby and combined with the glycolic acid leaves my skin baby smooth after application. Its been really good on breakouts as it seem to zap them really quickly, however be careful as it can be a bit stingy!
What have you been buying recently from the high street?
