After thoroughly testing this over the last couple of weeks, I think its safe to I like the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation - lets call it ADLWF for short!
The ADLWF claims to be -
• Weightless Foundation
• 16 Hour Wear Time
• Oil-Free
• High Coverage
• Photo Friendly
• Colour correction technology for discoloration and redness
• Light Enhancing
• Improves skin over time
I wasn’t sure what to think of this when I first got it. A lot of reviews have warned off those with dry / dehydrated skin, which Is something I suffer from, but the promise of a lightweight, high coverage, luminous finish really sold it to me.
Initially I applied this with a brush, which after doing so for a while discovered sponges work much better especially if you do have slightly dry skin. I was really surprised by how little product I had to use to get such a high level of coverage, literally one pump will do the whole face.
Straight away I loved the finish, any redness or uneven skin tone was immediately covered leaving beautifully even skin.
The finish itself is quite matte, despite the name suggesting otherwise, but its not that kind of matte that sucks the life out of your skin, there’s still a bit of luminosity which is nice and if your an oily / combo girl like me then the more the day wears on, the more luminous it seems to get which I don’t mind at all. Setting powder is definitely optional with this, if you’re on the drier side you can probably skip this altogether.
My main advice with this foundation is preparation. Prep, prep, and prep some more to ensure skin is as smooth and moisturised as it can be before applying this. I think that way you’ll get the best result as dry patches do tend to cling a little.
Overall I love this, if you’re willing to put in the work then it’s fab. It lasts all day, photos beautifully and makes the skin look absolutely flawless with minimal product.
Are you tempted to give this a go?
