High End Autumn Updates

With the last of the Summer weather expected this week in the UK, I have already started to think about updating my makeup bag for the colder months. I tend to opt for slightly heavier bases and darker eye / lip combos in the autumn.

A foundation I am loving lately is the Clarins Skin Illusion. I’m not even sure they sell this anymore (sorry) but my best guess for a replacement would be the Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation. I adore everything about this foundation, the texture, the coverage and even the smell are all gorgeous. Providing just enough radiance that lasts all day on my skin, perfect for this time of the year when you need that little bit of added extra comfort in your beauty regime.

A perfect partner for the Clarins foundation is the Chanel Vitalumiere Pressed Powder, a silky smooth finishing powder that adds coverage as well as setting foundation. This almost feels wet on the skin as it’s so soft and hydrating and leaves the most beautiful satin finish.

MAC Rebel and Cranberry, I’m not a dark lip kinda girl but something about the deep berry shade of Rebel really appeals to me and just look how beautiful Cranberry is, perfect for this time of year. Essie nail polish, my absolute favourite brand for nails. In the past I’ve found some of their colours can be a bit hit and miss in terms of longevity but the majority of them are up there.

Some of my favourites for the autumn include A Cut Above and It's Genius.

What will you be updating your makeup bad with this autumn?

Yours truly

Xx
