Hello sexy indeed! Hands up if you’ve heard of GlamGlow! Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year I’d expect the majority of you to know what I’m talking about. GlamGlow was founded in 2010 and its original use was intended exclusively for the Hollywood elite. Since becoming available to us mere mortals in 2011 it has literally exploded into the world of beauty. With Elle giving it an award for ‘best facemask in the world’ I was excited to say the least when this little package arrived at my door.
Instead of fully committing myself, I opted for a selection of testers from the GlamGlow website. I went for the Radiance kit which comes with 6 samples packs consisting of 2 individual YOUTHMUD treatments, 2 individual THIRSTYMUD treatments and 2 BRIGHTMUDChromeCells. There are about 6 kits to choose from, each of which has a slightly different selection of masks and all are priced around £13-£17 which includes postage.
I was most looking forward to trying the Thirsty Mud option. One of the newer masks in the range, although I have combination skin I often suffer from dry patches and dullness, which no amount of exfoliation seems to be able to shift so I was hoping this may do the trick.
Ok, here’s the tricky part, so far so good, however after testing each of the masks my favourite of the bunch and the biggest surprise has been the Bright Mud Chrome Cells Eye Treatment! Followed closely by the Thirsty Mud.
I was surprised at myself as eye care is not something I’m into. Given that I’m shall we say the later side of 25, I really should be investing more in looking after my eyes, up until now I thought my trusty No.7 Perfect and Protect was doing the job just fine.
I like the instant effect of the GlamGlow Eye Treatment, recommended for use 2-3 times a week, this thick gel really does make a noticeable difference. My eye area instantly felt cooled, plumped and smooth thanks to a hit of moisture and tiny exfoliating particles in the gel, meaning makeup application afterwards was a doddle. For an added boost I’d keep these in the fridge!
Both the masks have the same noticeable effect as the eye treatment, with the difference being the Youth Mud contains tiny exfoliating particles and was more of a clay texture, whilst the Thirsty Mud was a thick gel (which smelt like coconut, yum!) Both left my skin feeling refreshed and moisturised (more so with the Thirsty Mud) and makeup application was much easier. The effect lasted a good couple of days and in that time my skin looked noticeably healthier and radiant. I can see why this stuff is so popular!
Have you tried any of the GlamGlow range? Which are your favourites?
