When it comes to makeup brushes I stay pretty faithful to the ones in my collection. I can’t remember the last time I bought a new foundation brush since the RT Buffing Brush came into my life. Here are my picks of the makeup brushes that changed up my makeup game entirely.
RT Buffing Brush
As mentioned before I don’t think I’ve purchased another foundation brush since I bought this a few years ago, I keep convincing myself I need to try another, but this just does the job perfectly and I’m too afraid to stray. It makes you wonder how we ever managed to apply foundation with a flat top brush, where was the blending!
RT Eyeliner Brush
Strictly speaking this isn’t a brush, thanks to the silicone tip but I couldn’t not share. This transformed my clumsy cat eye attempts into perfectly defined flicks in a moment. Usually I end up a bit of a hot mess when attempting flicks, blame my impatience and inability to focus, but its just so easy with this.
MAC 217
Who doesn’t own a MAC 217, I mean seriously what did we do before this? I have visions of unblended eye shadow and harsh lines everywhere. This was one of my first ‘high end’makeup brush purchases and boy was it a good one. Nearly 7 years later and still going strong this is the only brush I reach for when blending out a smoky eye.
MAC 273
My little angled brush; I originally bought this for doing eyeliner, however from my earlier confession on the cat eye it unsurprisingly didn’t quite work out. It has come in super handy for my brows, especially since purchasing the Anastasia Dip Brow Pommade ,I haven’t found another that can do quite the same job.
Lily LOLO Powder
I still claim this to be the best powder brush out there, no kidding I’ve had mine for around 10 years and it’s still going strong. I use this for applying powder to set my makeup and sometimes bronzer. The bristles are unbelievably soft meaning no harsh lines are left on the face. LOVE
