September Rants & Raves

Wow what a month, xfactor started, I did the makeup at a wedding independently for the first time, attended a hairdressers reunion (drank too much wine, laughed a lot), went to my first Look Good Feel Better charity day and ran my first half marathon. Phew! Bring on October I say!

This months rants and raves consists of a mixture of skincare and makeup favourites that have helped me through a blusher rut, adjust to the cooler weather and transition into the autumnal season.

The Bodyshop Camomile Cleansing Butter & Vitamin E Overnight Serum Oil
Both fab products for this time of year, I've switched back to using a slightly heavier more moisturising cleanser, this one fits the bill perfectly.  Lightweight and manages to remove makeup in one swift go this is perfect for deep cleansing without stripping the skin. Followed by the Vitamin E Serum Oil makes for the perfect evening dream team.

Chanel Vitalumiere Compact Doucer
Mentioned in my powders post here this has been my favourite setting powder to use over the last month, there's just something about it that I can't get enough of.  Silky soft, hydrating coverage this is perfect for the colder months as it keeps skin comforstble whilst avoiding the dreaded 'cake face'.

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara
Lengthens, separates and volumises all for under a tenner. Love. What more can I say.

My rant this month goes to Topshops Glow Stick. If I could insert a crying emoji here I would as I wanted to like this so bad.  Unfortunately I just can't get it to work for me.  Instead of the beautiful highlight I hoped I'd achieve it just sticks in clumps around my eyes / temple area as it's so hard to blend. I'm sticking with Benefits Watts Up for now.

What have you been loving this month?
