It’s not very often I get this excited about lip colours, but these little tubes of loveliness are really special. Gorgeous shades, long lasting colour with a really unique appeal I think these are going to be a big hit this summer.
There are around 7 shades newly released from Barry M, ranging from bright red to pretty nudes and everything in between. I picked up the shades Tell Tale (nude, similar to Cream Cup by MAC, slightly more peach) Screamer (vibrant summer pink, similar to Sunny Seoul by MAC) and Chatterbox (peach.)
Each shade comes in a small squeezy tube which is reallyhandy for carrying around in your bag as they don’t take up a lot of space and aren’t messy to use.
Having never owned any of the OCC Lip Tars I can’t really make any sound comparisons, however I have tested a few and from what I can tell the Barry M Loud Mouths’ are just as good, slightly more glossy and not so intense but totally worth it for £3.99. My one gripe is that they tend to settle in the corners of your mouth so you have to check them throughout the day, apart from that they apply smoothly, are nicely pigmented and have subtle fruity smell.
All the colours are really wearable and look great when mixed with the nude to create more subtle versions of the brighter shades; I think the nude itself is fast becoming a favourite of mine.
All in all a good purchase, definitely worth a look, especially when there’s a 3 for 2 offer on. I would highly recommend you check these out next time you’re in Boots or Superdrug!
