Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder

One of my newest foubdations that's gone straight to holy grail foundation status and that is the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation.
The first foundation released when Charlotte Tilbury launched here a few years ago this is an illuminating smoothing foundation, aimed at hydrating the skin with light to medium coverage.
Charlotte says –
I’ve created the holy grail of foundations… An air-light formula with wonder powers: it illuminates, smoothes, hydrates, minimises pores and reduces wrinkles for perfect skin. When it comes to foundation, I have one simple rule: perfect coverage in a light-weight formula. Eyes can be intense, lips can be full on, but your complexion should be seamless, breathable and beautiful. It’s one of my 7 wonders for your skin!
I wanted to give this a go for aaaaages but the ‘lightweight’ ‘luminous’ thing put me off.  I’m all for lightweight foundations, but I also want something that lasts and isn’t going to wear off by midday.
I’d been one of those weirdo’s at the Charlotte Tilbury counter before and swatched this numerous times without buying as I just wasn’t sure. When the Magic Foundation launched at the beginning of September,  I decided sod it and ordered them both (as you do!)
And I’m glad I did!
I love this, it’s nothing like I initially thought and some days think I actually prefer this to its heavier counter part the Magic Foundation. When used together they are beautiful but who uses two foundations – right?!
So back to LW, I can only describe it as like cashmere for the skin.  It smooth’s over and perfects anything it touches.
Those videos you see on YouTube of Charlotte applying this to people and their skin looking all dewy and angel like are exactly what it looks lie in real life - not kidding.
But and there is a big but, YOU MUST USE PRIMER. Especially if you have anything but dry skin as this will turn you into an oil slick. I have combination skin and it lasts the whole day on me, a bit of touching up with powder is required but that’s normal practice for me. I use my Benefit Porefessional to begin and I’m good to go.
To sum up this is fast becoming one of my favourite foundations to use. I think it’ll be brilliant in the winter as it’s hydrating and brings life to the skin and can’t wait to see how it performs.
Have you tried Light Wonder Foundation? What are your thoughts?
